Gluten-Free Rice Flour
Rice flour is made up of finely milled white rice or brown rice. It is a healthy variable for all-purpose flour, corn flour or rye flour. Nowadays, rice flour is also available ‘gluten-free’. So what does this gluten-free rice mean?
Gluten is a sticky protein found in various grains and cereals such as wheat, rye, etc. When mixed with water, this protein forms a glue-like consistent liquid, hence the name GLUE-TEN. But if it’s a protein why is it harmful for consumption?
Not all proteins are naturally good for the human body, out of which gluten due to its sticky nature, tends to stick to the lining of the digestive system and causes further digestive tract problems.
