India is an agricultural nation. It is one of the largest producers of rice in the world. Rice and wheat form a major part of the staple diet, both in rural and urban areas.

The last few years have contributed to the rise in consumption of rice, particularly the finished product i.e. rice flour. Rice flour is naturally gluten free. With increasing concern in the consumers regarding diet and health hazards, gluten-free rice flour is on the rise. Excess consumption of gluten can lead to many digestive tract disorders and.

In the light of awareness in people, the demand for gluten-free products and flour has increased. Since rice flour is easily available and healthy, consumer has a great inclination towards it. It is also a boon for gluten-intolerant people.

Rice flour is rich in beneficial fiber that is good for the digestive tract. It has choline which helps to maintain healthy functioning of live by transporting cholesterol and triglycerides from liver to wherever needed.

Rice has many other benefits. It provides instant energy, slows down the aging process, provides Vitamin B & has high amounts of carbohydrates and proteins. Rice is manufactured and used in many forms viz. rice meal, plain rice, rice flour, rice rava and rice atta. All these forms of processed rice are manufactured in their own unique way and every type has its own unique technique of the production.

Rice atta or rice powder has been in use since a long time as therapy to get natural beauty skin by Asian women. Its natural oil absorption and anti-ageing properties make the powder good for oily or acne-prone and dull skin.

With all these benefits and the need for better diet plans, India has seen a major rise in the consumption of rice flour.
